Scott Davis Anderson

My name is Scott Anderson. I am a current Peace Corps Volunteer, serving in Hohoe Ghana. I graduated with a Masters in Fine Arts from Ohio University, and have since been on a mission to discover more about our world. Following graduate school, I served in New Orleans as an AmeriCorps member, where I worked with inspiring people who were helping to rebuild New Orleans.  I followed my service with AmeriCorps, by taking a bicycle trip across the United States.  I rode from San Diego, California to Saint Augustine, Florida, raising money for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Project Homecoming (Katrina Disaster Recovery), and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Today, I find myself blessed, having been placed at the Volta School for the Deaf in Hohoe, Ghana.  I Work with both hearing and deaf communities in Ghana to break down stigmas and discriminatory practices.  Working in West Africa has given my life new meaning.  I fully support the mission of Our Talking Hands and envision sustained growth even beyond my Peace Corps Service.
